Candor: A Brainwashing Review

In this town, you are what you hear. Candor is the perfect place to live. Not a thing ever goes wrong in this Florida suburb. The children are every parents' dream. All of them are academically superior and flawlessly mannered. Outsiders would think this is the result of the town's social environment or the fact that they never eat anything unhealthy. These people would be wrong. One thing people will notice about Candor, second to the well-behaved children, is the constant music being played. Everyone listens to it every second of everyday. The music plays in the schools, the stores, homes, and cars. Many would think this is strange, but what they do not know is the music is what makes Candor so ideal.
When Oscar Banks' brother died and his mother left, Oscar's father created a place where nothing goes wrong. The music that Oscar's father has playing everywhere contains subliminal messages that control all the kids of Candor. If the music were to ever stop and force them to think for themselves, they would go crazy and commit suicide. Oscar had created CD's with counter messages so that he or a select few may be able to retain at least some of their free will. When Nia moves to town, Oscar must decide whether it is more important to save the one he loves and be caught, or watch her slowly deteriorate into a robot.
Candor was written by Pam Bachorz who was inspired to write the book while staying in Florida. I admit I do judge books by their cover, and I am glad that Candor's intriguing front caught my eye. It is well written with well-rounded characters. During the book we get to see our main protagonist, Oscar Banks, go through some major changes. He starts out being exactly like his father, selfish. Although, by the end, Oscar understands the meaning of sacrifice and what it means to truly love another. I recommend that anyone pick up this book. There is a little something for everyone. From me, Candor receives four and half stars out of five.

The Sorrowful Death of the Written Word

The Harry Potter series has become a worldwide phenomenon over the years. When it first became a hit, everyone was trying to get his hands on the books as fast as they could. Nowadays, most people would rush around to buy the e-book which stands for electronic book. They are also known as digital books. E-books and their companions, e-readers, are on the rise. Many nation wide companies have come out with their own versions of an e-reader. Barnes and Noble created the Nook. Amazon has the Kindle; Sony got in on the action as well. I’ll admit I did want one at first but mainly just for the ecological nature of it. Buying books digitally does helps save paper. From July 4, 2006 to August 4, 2009, 200 million free e-books were downloaded from Project Gutenburg and World eBook Fair. If these e-books had been bought in paper the amount of trees used would be around 3,200,000!
I was at the library one day and overheard the librarians talking with my mother. They were discussing the fact that in the last couple of years the number of movie and CD checkouts exceeded the book checkouts greatly. Also that more and more people were using e-readers instead of libraries. They said that borrowing books from the library would soon be obsolete. Being a book lover myself, this made me sad although I couldn’t help but agree with her. The ease of being able to carry one device that can store hundreds of books is a lot easier than carrying a humongous stack of actual books.
Of course, e-readers are not just for reading. The ones that I have seen have also had the capabilities to surf the internet, act as an iPod, drawing applications, and more. All of the features that they keep coming out with are turning e-readers into miniature iPads. While these features have many people scrambling to obtain an e-reader, I’m left to wonder if book stores will eventually stop selling printed books and only offer digital ones. I cringe at the thought. E-books and e-readers are very ingenious, but I prefer to hold a book and turn the page myself.
Books and e-readers are not the only thing I’m writing about. Not only are printed books slowly dying, but so is the way we communicate through writing. Back before the internet or computers most people wrote letters when they wanted to communicate with friends and family. Now when we want to do this, we jump onto the computer and pull up our e-mail or Facebook. When we want to write a story or an essay, we go to the computer and open up Word.
I understand that as the world has another birthday, our knowledge increases and we create new, better, and more efficient technology. Yet, I can’t help but sigh and look back at what once was. So with a slump in my shoulders and a twinge in my heart, I say, “Goodbye pencil. Hello keyboard.”

The Immortal Seris

I've recently become fond of a book series, written by Alyson Noel, called the Immortals. It's been related to Twilight, but I disagree. The only way it could be linked to Twilight is that they are both about paranormal romance.

The books are centered around Ever Bloom who was in a car crash that killed her parents, sister, and dog, Buttercup. She moves in with her Aunt in California where she meets Damen. Damen is an immortal. Ever doesn't know it, but he's been a part of her life for hundreds of years.

The Series contains 5 books in total. Evermore, Blue Moon, Shadowland, Dark Flame, and Night Star. (To Be released Winter 2010) Plus Radience (A story told in Ever's dead sister's point of view)

This is an amazing series by Alyson Noel. Alyson also writes stand alone titles that are equally awesome. I encourage you to check 'em out at your local library or bookstore. (Oh lord, I sound like a PBS commercial.)

Avatar

Avatar is Sci-Fi movie written and directed by James Cameron...Why am I telling you this? If you don't know what Avatar is then you have been living under a rock for the past year. I am fully aware that this review is pretty late seeing as how the movie was released on December 18 of '09, but I just now saw the movie yesterday. :)
Avatar takes a trip to another world called Pandora where humans (or Sky People) are killing the natives to Pandora, the Na'vi, for a precious rock that is worth millions on Earth. Jake Sully, Sam Worthington, is linked to his "Avatar" to convince the Na'vi to relocate, so the humans can take what they want. Selfish, aren't we? The only problem is Jake Sully falls in love with the land, the people, and a certain someone ;) Jake now feels protective over the land and won't let the Sky People destroy it anymore.
Honestly, when I first saw the commercials for Avatar, you could practically hear my eyes rolling. Then, the more trailers I saw for it, the more intrigued I became. I wasn't interested enough to go to the movie theater and pay 8 bucks to see it though. Within the first couple of weeks of it's release, reviews were everywhere! Whether they were on television, in blogs, or just people chatting about it in the hall; you could tell that people were in love with this movie.
The special features are truly incredible, as well as the acting. I found myself wishing I was a Na'vi. Pandora seemed so peaceful and amazing. When I was younger, I was obsessed with X-Men. My friend and I would pick our characters and act out all kinds of stuff while we pretended we had super-powers and had hot boyfriends. (Cause that's important when your nine years old) If Avatar had been created when I was younger, I would have without a doubt have acted the same way as I did six years ago. (Hmm...that's not that long ago now that I think about it.)
Anyways, James Cameron did an amazing job and made one heck of a movie that will be remembered and admired for years to come.

More Beautiful You...Explication?

My absolute favorite song is More Beautiful You by Jonny Diaz. I had printed out the lyrics and after my Bio test today I pulled it out and next to each Stanza (?) I wrote what it said to me, so I'm not sure if you could call this an explication or not. The song is in normal colored text and my thoughts are in Green!

Little girl fourteen flippin through a magazine
Says she wants to look that way
But her hair isn't straight her body isn't fake
And she's always felt overweight
Don't feel so insecure. You're REAL. Women in magazine and on television are touched up too look perfect.
Well little girl fourteen I wish that you could see
That beauty is within your heart
And you were made with such care your skin your body and your hair
Are perfect just the way they are
God made you and you don't need to change a thing!
(Chorus)
There could never be a more beautiful you
Don't buy the lies disguises and hoops they make you jump through
You were made to fill a purpose that only you could do
So there could never be a more beautiful you
You are the only one of you. Don't lessen yourself to try to fit in.
Little girl twenty-one the things that you've already done
Anything to get ahead
And you say you've got a man but he's got another plan
Only wants what you will do instead
Be careful with your body. It's YOURS. Don't do things to try and keep some guy around, he's not worth it.
Well little girl twenty-one you never thought that this day would come
You starve yourself to play the part
But I can promise you there's a man whose love is true
And he'll treat you like the jewel you are
If you have to change yourself for a man he's DEFINITELY not worth it. Someones out there who will treat you right.
(Chorus)
So turn around you're not to far
To back away be who you are
To change your path go another way
It's not too late you can be saved
If you feel depressed with past regrets
The shameful nights hope to forget
Can disappear they can all be washed away
By the one who's strong can right your wrongs
Can rid your fears dry all your tears
And change the way you look at this big world
He will take your dark distorted view
And with His light He will show you truth
And again you'll see through the eyes of a little girl
It's never too late to change directions and choose to follow God. He will wash away your sins and forever be there for you.
(Chorus)

Save the Earth!

Happy Earth Day!! Have you hugged a tree today?
I was originally going to post a picture of me and some friends hugging trees outside my house, but I had no one to take the picture. I was also going to post some tips on being more green and conserving, but I don't have time.. :/
So...
I'm just going to say HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Tokio Hotel - Humanoid

About a year ago, one of my friends introduced me to a German rock band called Tokio Hotel. I fell in love with them. They were amazing. I couldn't get enough of them. Their album Scream was constantly on repeat because it was just so good.

Once I heard they were releasing a new album, Humanoid, I was extatic! I could barely wait until I got home to open it. In fact I didn't even wait that long, I had opened it and read all the lyrics before I even heard one song. I'm sad to say, even though the album's been out for a while, that they dissapointed me. It wasn't horrible, but it sounded as that they were trying way to hard to fit into the "pop" culture of America today, which is weird seeing as how they arn't American... Plus, the lyrics wern't as great as I was expecting them to be. In Scream the lyrics told stories, amazing ones. A good song makes you feel something; whether that feeling is love, sadness, or maybe even anger. The new songs, while a few were catchy, were boring. I played them over in my head a couple of times and then got sick of them.

I understand that bands change over time, but this change wasn't for the better. I like their older sound; that was the Tokio Hotel I know and love.

You Can Be A Green Teen!

...and so can adults.

No matter your age, you can make a difference. People all around the world, whether it's celebrities or everyday people, are realizing how fragile our planet is and doing their part.

If you would like do your part, but aren't quite sure how to get started, well I have a book for you! :) It's called Generation Green: The Ultimate Teen Guide to Living an Eco-Friendly Life. It's written by Linda Siversten and her (oh-so good looking) son, Tosh Siversten. I'm not quite finished reading it myself, but I have definitely learned a thing or two and love it. The book opens your eyes to what's going on with our planet and what simple things we can do to help.

What are you waiting for?

One thing I read in Generation Green was how much water you can save by cutting down your shower time. Linda talks about how Jennifer Aniston sets a timer for three minutes to tell her when her time is up. To me, setting a timer sounded so boring and made it feel like a race, so I came up with an alternative. If you're like me and like music, do what I do. I find an awesome three minute song and use that as my timer. Then not only do I save water, but I get to jam to some tunes. :)

The Best Job

When kids are young they stick to basic 'hero' jobs such as Police officer, Fire fight, Doctor, etc. I think that in this life the best job you could have is being a comedian. I don't know about everyone else, but I could be having a crap-tastic day and if I watch a comedian or if someone just said something that makes me laugh, my day is so much better.
The ability to make people laugh is so precious. I wish I had this quality, but not having it just makes me appreciate it more. There is a person I go to school with and he is absolutely hilarious, when he's in a good mood (don't want to catch him in a bad one) he brightens my day. A couple of my best friends (Kayla, Maizie) are also some people that have been given this natural ability and when you put the two together, you better wear the rubber pants. ^.^
The reason I think comedians are so amazing is because the world kind of sucks. We go through such ups and downs. I mean we're in the middle of a war now, natural disasters (Haiti), economic crisis, and so many other things that just bring us down and make us feel like the weight of the world is pressing down. Comedians take you away from all that for a while, or at least make it more bearable. They aren't just entertainers, there miracle workers. :)

Christofer Drew Ingle

It seems that ever since the release of Nevershoutnever's (Christofer Drew) full length album is that most people are upset. It you were to Google Chris' music, there are multiple people ranting about how much his music "sucks" now. It's true, Chris changed it up a bit. He went from completely acoustic to using other instruments. If they took the time to look into it a bit they would find that Chris explains that he's changing, plus he wanted to bring some of his friends on the road with him (hints the live band).
personally think his music sounds as fabulous as it always has. Everyone changes over time. Do you act the same way now as you did 5 years ago? Proably not. Christofer is young, he's expreimenting with different kinds of sounds. I honestly think people need to back off him a bit. It's not about all about the fans. Of course fans are important, Chris is constantly shouting out about how much his fans mean to him, but it's not all about them. He writes music to get emotions out there.
If you don't like his music, dont' listen to it. He's changing, and I for one am all for sticking by his side and soaking up all that wonderful music! :)

Music For A Wounded Generation

Alrighty, this is my first official enty on Blogger.com! :) Yay *Throws dance party*
The other entries as I had posted at the end of them were just ones that I had on my LiveJournal account, but I don't really care for LJ any more.
The Christian Rock band Skillet is amazing for anyone who doesn't already know. I recently saw them in concert (first one ever) on the Awake Tonight Tour with TobyMac. I loved I Skillet before I saw them, but now I love them! You can always tell a band is good when they sound good on their CD and live. Some of my friends don't like for many a different reasons. Some say they don't like the style they play (understandable, rock isn't for everyone) and others I think don't like them because they're Christian. If I said that to them though, they would deny it.
To me there is nothing better than a band that can play good, original music and speak the Word of God. Hello? How much cooler can Skillet be!? TobyMac, same thing. Although Toby is more hip-hop/rap he still has the power to bring people together and worship. While he was on stage, I looked around the auditorium in awe as I saw hundreds of people lifting their hands and singing along. Like I said, nothing better than that. :)
Favorite quote of the day:
"Do you think this is funny? Do you think my friends dying is funny?"
(Speaker at a Genetic Conference I went to yesterday. It wasn't funny that his friends were dying, but it was funny that a kid had the nerve to laugh at it.)

She Lives

Wow, I haven't written in forever! Which is why I'm just writing this real quick post to say "I'm Alive!"
The reason I'm cutting this extremely short is because I've got A Rocket To The Moon blasting in the speakers and I want to have a dance party! :D

I'm going to try to post something soon. So Stick around. Oh P.s The new Star Trek Movie = Best movie ever! I heart Zachary Quinto!

Gullible is Written On the Ceiling. *Person looks up*

I found out this past week that I am gullible. My friend, Katie, had been out of school for a couple days. I didn't think much of it, you know, I just thought she was sick. A couple days later she came back with a brace on her foot. I hadn't asked Katie what happened. Again, I figured she was doing something completely stupid and hurt it. My friend, Allyson, Told me when she fell down the stairs in Gym (Yes, that's right) she sprained her ankle.
After I got out of Biology and headed to lunch with my best friend, Riley, We got our food and went to our table; which consisted of Riley, Kayla, Katie M, Katie W., Amanda and Allyson. I finally asked Katie just what she did to her foot. Allyson turned and told me, "She had it amputated." I laughed, Yeah right, I thought to myself. I looked at Katie, "No Really, What happened." Her face was completlely serious, "Darci, I hurt my foot really bad, they amputated it."
"No, they didn't." I retorted.
I studied the face of everyone at the table. Their faces showed no sign of humor.
"You're kidding right?" I asked.
"No, I'm dead serious."
"Oh, my, gosh!" I repeated over and over. "Katie, I am so sorry."
Beside me Allyson burst out laughing. I threw her a confused look.
She laughed some more, "I can not believe you believed that!"
"What?"
"You actually thought Katie's foot was gone."
Katie, Amanda joined in on the laughter. My face flushed.

With my final attempt to get the truth, I turned to Katie.
"Do you still have a foot?" I asked.
"Yes! Oh my gosh that was priceless!"
I looked at Riley, she took looked confused. They had tricked her too.
"Wow," I said to her, "We are such losers." Then to Katie, "You guys kept such straight faces!" I congratulated them on my humiliation.

Anyway's that's my little story. I may use this post as my Journalism homework. It's supposed to be about something funny that's happened in your life, soo...

Vampires are Taking Over the World

Is it just me or are Vampire books popping up everywhere? People originally got hooked on the Teen novel by: Stephanie Meyer. "Twilight is a young adult vampire-romance novel," says Wikipedia. About a teenage girl named Bella Swan who leaves her home (and mother) in Arizona to move in with her father in a dreary Forks, Washington. While in Forks Bella falls in love with Edward Cullen, who later turns out to be a Vampire.

I myself am one of the many fans of the book series, but I have noticed ever since Twilight, vampire books have been popping up in book stores around the globe.
Books such as The Vampire Diaries and the House of Night series.

I was in Target the other day buying the second book of the House of Night series (yes, I have fallen under it's spell too) and noticed how half of the shelf was for vampire books. It was weird.

Anyway, I've had my say.

Goodnight for now.

Who Do You Love? Should It Matter?

So, I was reading my Bible last night and I came upon an In Focus article.
In Focus articles are basically letters that teen girls have sent to the publisher.
The topic of this one was homosexuality.
It gave verses that told what God thought about it. It got me thinking, Why does it matter?
I am straight, but I just don't understand why God doesn't like it. If two people love each other, why does it matter what gender the other person is? Does God love them less if they're gay? I suppose it's difficult for me to explain how I feel about this.
I don't know how to get my feelings from my brain to the paper, or text, whatever you want to call it.
But basically I guess I just don't get why it's so bad.
I'm a Christian and I believe it doesn't matter who you love. I know God disagrees with me, but I just don't see the harm.

Exactly!
If everyone is created in God's image, then
God is homosexual
God is heterosexual
God is Black
God is White
God is freaking rainbow colored and polko dotted for all we know!

It may sounds very agnostic, but we cannot prove or disprove God's existence.

Not to mention, the bible has been tranlated so many times, that we can't be sure whether what we're reading is correct, becuase of the language barriers, there can never be a 1:1 translation. I realize it says in the bible;
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from this book of prophecy, god will take away from him his sahre in the tree of life and in the holy city which are described in this book." -Revelation 22:18-19.
But, how do we know that a message on paper alone could stop someone from letting history be told how they want it to be told? We don't.

Have you ever seen The Da Vinci Code?
I realize that it is just a story written by Dan Brown, bt some of the things make sense.

In Judiaism, the sabbath is celebrated on Saturdays, while Pagans celebrated it on Sundays, for the sun god.

And, something I am confused about is, (well, there are several things, but still.) Why were Samaritans looked down on in the bible, when really, Christians in general today are Samaritans

What In the World!?

So I went to a pawn shop yesterday and my dad is looking at this video camera, the guy behind the counter starts randomly telling my dad how Michelle Obama wants to put a garden in the White House lawn and he doesnt't like it.
He kept saying things like, "It's not even her property!" and "That would be like going to a friends house and staying for a couple of days and saying their going to build a baseball park in your back yard!"
The guy would throw a couple of glances at me every so often like I was supposed to comment on the subject. I didn't say anything. For one thing, I didn't agree with him.
It's just a garden! Get over it! And two, What did he expect I say, "Yeah man, you're right."
It was ridiculous. It's amazing how people get worked up over the stupidest things.

The American Mall (x3)

So, I don't have cable at my house, or any kind of dish. I have Antenna T.V. So, we get basic channels like FOX, CBS, ABC, CW. When I was at my friends house one day we were watching television and she has Direct T.v.
I saw a preview for a T.v movie called The American Mall. I love musicals a lot, so I wanted to see it, but I don't get MTV at my house, so I didn't see it. Well I was at a pawn shop yesterday and saw they had it on DVD. I looked at the disc and it looked brand new, so hell yeah I'm gonna get it. Especially since it was like three bucks.
I just got finished watching it and I've realized something. High School Musical, Camp Rock, and The American Mall are basically the same thing, but with different songs and a different theme. If you take away the music and the setting there the exact same thing! There is a boy, there is a girl, they like each other.
They sing about there feelings in private, but then some kind of mean girl comes in to ruin all their fun But in the end their love is strong enough to over come all the bad thing and they sing a love-ish song on stage in front of people.
Examples-
American Mall- They sing at the Spring Slam (or what ever it was called)
High School Musical- They sing in the auditions together.
Camp Rock- Final Jam

It's the same thing. Can't people be a little more creative. You know like in The Sound of Music or The Phantom of the Opera. At least those were a little different. I understand those movies ^ don't have teenagers or around there, but still. Oh! And they all end the same too! With the big song where almost all the characters sing together (even the mean girls, who magically become nice).
More example-
American Mall- Again The Spring Slam thing
High School Musical- We're All in This Together
Camp Rock- We Rock

Don't get me wrong, I like these movies, I like the songs (most of them), but I feel like there is not originality in them any more.
Maybe I should make a musical. :D

Trust Me, Don't Trust Me

So, some of my friends like this band called 3OH!3 and I had heard of them before. I had looked them up on iTunes one day and didn't really care for them that much. I thought they were a little too techno-ish for my taste, but one day I was on iTunes Top 100 Songs and I saw that the 3OH!3 song Don't Trust Me was about number eighteen or so.
It kind of suprised me, so I previewed it just to see what the fuss was about. To my suprise I liked it. I thought the beat was awesome. The lyrics (That I heard in the preview) we catchy too.
Today I bought a new iTunes card and I bought the song. I had no idea what-so-ever how bad the lyrics were! Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but the lyrics make me laugh. They are not for children that's for sure. Here take a look at them. I got these lyrics from www.elyricsworld.com

Don't Trust Me By: 3OH!3

Black dress, with the tights underneath
I've got the breath of a last cigarette on my teeth
And she's an actress (actress), but she ain't got no need
She's got money from her parents in a trust fund back east

T-t-t-tongue's always pressed to your cheeks
While my tongue is on the inside of some other girl's teeth
Tell your boyfriend, if he says he's got beef
That I'm a vegetarian, and I ain't fuckin' scared of him

She wants to touch me (whoa)
She wants to love me (whoa)
She'll never leave me (whoa, whoa oh oh)
Don't trust a ho
Never trust a ho
Won't trust a ho
Won't trust me
(x2)

X's on the back of your hands
Wash them in the bathroom to drink like the bands
And the setlist (setlist) you stole off the stage
Has red and purple lipstick all over the page

B-b-b-bruises cover your arms
Shaking in the fingers with the bottle in your palm
And the best is (the best is), no one knows who you are
Just another girl alone at the bar

She wants to touch me (whoa)
She wants to love me (whoa)
She'll never leave me (whoa, whoa oh oh)
Don't trust a ho
Never trust a ho
Won't trust a ho
Won't trust me
(x2)

Shush, girl! Shut your lips
Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips
I said shush, girl! Shut your kips
Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips
I said shush, girl! Shut your lips
Do the Helen Keller and talk with your hips

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

She wants to touch me (whoa)
She wants to love me (whoa)
She'll never leave me (whoa, whoa oh oh)
Don't trust a ho
Never trust a ho
Won't trust a ho
Won't trust me
(x2)

There are a couple of mistakes, but nothing major. Anyway, yeah, that's what I think about it... Lol. Good song, but not for youngins! :D

To March Or Not To March

Band: A group of musicians that play together.
Ever since I was young, I wanted to be a member of the band. I watched my sister march on football fields and watch her high school win the title of State Champions. Ever since then, I wanted to do that exact same thing. To play music for hundreds to hear, while giving my school a good reputation. In sixth grade, I signed up for band, and began to learn the trumpet. I play in the eighth grade band now, but the desire to go on to high school band and march, is gone. I did not sign up for it and do not intend to change that. Today in band, we had new music on our chair, which happened to be music for next marching season. We were told by the high school band director that we would play this piece with the high school band in our last concert. The music wasn't as hard as I expected it to be, which surprised me, and I really like the music too. It started to make me think.
Did I really want to not do band? It really made me think about. Those sneaky band directors. Even though I thought about it today, I stick by my decision to not continue in band. Maybe my sisters right, Maybe I don't want to continue because I'm not willing to put forth the effort.
Oh well.
Don't think I don't have a plan though! Just because I'm not going to be in band doesn't mean I'm not going to play it. And I have decided that once the school years over, I'll work on guitar move. My poor guitar, it sits in my room and only played for five minutes every so often. All I know is a couple cords, so I decided to learn more! Yay!

Idiots In Hot Bodies

Oh come on, I'm sure you've met one.
You see a someone and your heart immediately starts fluttering, beating insanely quick.
You see them and your eyes pop out of your skull and you have to do a double take to make sure your brain isn't deciving you.
Yeah we've all seen 'em.
And if you're reading this and shaking your head 'No, this has never happened to me,' I say You Liar!
I have met many people like this, both boys and girls. There is one in my science class. :D He is extremely attractive, but insanely dumb. I know that sounds mean, but it's true. He misses the littlest things, it's ridiculous! There are some girls to. One in perticuar I'm thinking of. She's really pretty, but there is nothing going on upstairs! She can be completly clueless.
Please don't get me wrong, they're plenty nice. I just can't get over how someone so hansome, hot, attractive, cute, Whatever you would consider them, how they can be so brain dead. I would understand if they had a brain fart every so often, but they can just be ridiculous!
Anywho I was thinking about this in class today and I thought to myself, "I could blog about that!"
So I have.
I personally hope that no one has takin' offense to what I have said, but if you have I'm truly sorry. It's just my opinion. :)

My First Entry Makes 'The Climb'

So Miley Cyrus is obviously the topic I have chosen for my first entry. For the record let me tell you I am not a Miley Cyrus fan. I dislike her with a passion, I feel she is fake. I have to say though I actually like her newer song 'The Climb'
I think it has very powerful and meaningful lyrics. Just take a look at them.

'The Climb'

I can almost see it
That dream I'm dreamin'
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shakin'

But I gotta keep tryin'
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking

I may not know it
But these are moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going

And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushin' on

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

(I have gotten these lyrics from www.metrolyrics.com)

Obviously that is not the entire song, I left off the end of it, but you get the picture hopefully. I think it teaches people to never give up, even if life throws them a curve ball. That they should embrace it and make 'The Climb.'
So I honestly like this song.
That's all I really have to say about this, but I wanted to warn everyone.
If you don't already know, there is a new virus that is suppose to come out tomorrow on April 1st. Obviously it is already out so, everyone should be careful about what they download and do frequent updates on your computer.
