Who Do You Love? Should It Matter?

So, I was reading my Bible last night and I came upon an In Focus article.
In Focus articles are basically letters that teen girls have sent to the publisher.
The topic of this one was homosexuality.
It gave verses that told what God thought about it. It got me thinking, Why does it matter?
I am straight, but I just don't understand why God doesn't like it. If two people love each other, why does it matter what gender the other person is? Does God love them less if they're gay? I suppose it's difficult for me to explain how I feel about this.
I don't know how to get my feelings from my brain to the paper, or text, whatever you want to call it.
But basically I guess I just don't get why it's so bad.
I'm a Christian and I believe it doesn't matter who you love. I know God disagrees with me, but I just don't see the harm.

Exactly!
If everyone is created in God's image, then
God is homosexual
God is heterosexual
God is Black
God is White
God is freaking rainbow colored and polko dotted for all we know!

It may sounds very agnostic, but we cannot prove or disprove God's existence.

Not to mention, the bible has been tranlated so many times, that we can't be sure whether what we're reading is correct, becuase of the language barriers, there can never be a 1:1 translation. I realize it says in the bible;
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes away from this book of prophecy, god will take away from him his sahre in the tree of life and in the holy city which are described in this book." -Revelation 22:18-19.
But, how do we know that a message on paper alone could stop someone from letting history be told how they want it to be told? We don't.

Have you ever seen The Da Vinci Code?
I realize that it is just a story written by Dan Brown, bt some of the things make sense.

In Judiaism, the sabbath is celebrated on Saturdays, while Pagans celebrated it on Sundays, for the sun god.

And, something I am confused about is, (well, there are several things, but still.) Why were Samaritans looked down on in the bible, when really, Christians in general today are Samaritans
